Hi my name is carissa Im 17yr olds , and my boyfriend is Steven he is 20yrs old.
on May 4th me and steven had to take a airplan to DFW from PHL for his grandfathers funernal. My parents did not have the money at the time to get us all around tickets so she paid for us to get there. That wasnt the bad part. On saturday Night my mother booked me and my boyfriend for a flight to go back home from DFW to PHL . She used a site called Expedia.com
That was the worse of it all. Expedia.com had set us a flight for Airtran Leaving at 8:20pm.
So we was like okie. And Around 11am. I Have Called My Mom To Call Expedia To Make Sure Our Flight Was Leaving At The Time She Told Me. And She Did Again They Have Told Her It Was 8:20pm. Me and My Boyfriend Got There Around 6:00pm So We Can Get Everything and Then Board The Plane. Well When We Got There Airtran Was Completly Shut Down. So We Have Asked Someone Why. They Had Said That There Was No More Flights After 6pm.
Answer me this question. What kind of Company would set a flight that wasnt real at all?
After about 3hours trying to find another air flight to give us tickets for the next plane. They all said they could not because they have nothing to do with Airtran. So by this time me and my bf was freaking out tryin to find out how to get back Home.
There was no place for us to go at all. all his family lived to far away and was to tired because of the whole funernal that had happened. After about another hour After gettin told that all Airtran was shutdown we Decided to go back for one more try. And guess what? There we're people that have gotten off one of the planes that flow in. We ended up finding a Baggage Clam Guy That was Very nice to help us out. We have told him what happened so he looked on the computer. GUESS WHAT??!?! On there computer it had said that are plane had left at 1pm? Okie why would they tell us from Expedia.com That Our Plane Was Leaving At 8:20pm When It Was Really 1pm? See What Im Trying To Hit At. But After What He Had Told Us He Booked Us For A 6am Flight.
While All Of This Was Happening My Mother, Stevens Mom, My Dad And My Bother Was Trying To Help By Calling Expedia.com And Also AirTran To Get Us Back Home. And The Only Way Expedia.com Would Do it Is If My Mother Paid Another 405$.
Don't You Think If Someone Messed Something Up They Should Fix It Themselves?
Another Thing The Whole Time Our Parents Are Calling Each Place They Both Have Said It Was One Another Fault. And They Could Not Do ANYTHING About It At All.
Here's a Question How Can A Baggaged Clam Guy Get Us Tickets Back Home But No Other Person Could?
Now From Here We Had No Idea Where To Go. So My Bf's Mom Had Booked Us At A Hotel And Got Us Some Food. Because All We Had Left Was The 46$ For The Baggage We Had.
Now Me And My Bf Had Went To The Airport At 4:30am And Got There Around 4:55am. So We Got In Line. When We Finally Got Up To The Desk To Check In Our Baggage. We Asked The Guy How Much Would It Be And If It Would Be Over 46$ . He Had Said Yes! We Asked Why And He Said Bc It Was Overweight And Oversize? The Guy Had Looked At Us And Said The Total is 95$ How Would You Like To Pay For That. By This Time We're Like WTF What Can We Do? He Said Well You Can Pay With A Cedit Card Or Money And If You Cant We Can't Hold The Bag For You Or Anything. So At This Time We Got Out Of Line And Throw Away Bascilly All My Boyfriends Clothes And Some Of Mine. So We Got Back In Line. After Waitin A Long Time Again We Go Back Up The The Counter This Time Its A Lady. So She Weights It And It's Now Under 50Lbs Wayyyy Under. But It Still Over Size. We Asked Her If It Would Be Over 46$ And She Said Yes. By This Time Now We're Like What Can We Do? She Looks At Us And Tells Us It's 54$. She Tell's Us Just What The Guy Told Us. But This Time We Missed Our Flight So She Had To Re Set Us. Now The Only Thing We Was Able To Do Is Leave The Baggage There And Walk Away From It.
We Went Outside I Begain To Cry Alot Because Of Everything That's Happening. By The Time I Got Some Stuff Out I Lost It. And Out Of No Where We Seen A Guy That Came Up To Us And Asked How Much We Need It. Steven Had Said All We Need Is 10$. The Guy Had Given Us 45$ And Then The Guy Has Asked If That Was Enough And We Said Yes While Me And Steven Are Holding Eachother Crying. After We Clam Down A Bit. We had Walked Back Inside To Get In Line. It Was 6:40 We Finally Got Up To The Ticket Counter At 7:10 And Now This Time We Got Another Lady. This Lady Told Us That The Bag Was Only Going To Be 15$. WHAT THE HECK how did it go from 95$ to 54$ to 15$?. After That We Just Got On The Plane In We Are Never Going Back To DFW Or Using Airtran or Expedia.com
